Mr. Roger Grig Dollyhite, age 80, of Mount Airy passed away November 19, 2023, at Forsyth Memorial Medical Center. Roger was born January 24, 1943, in Surry County to the late Killis and Vassie Dollyhite. He was known throughout the community for his long work in the hosiery mills, owning his own for many years. Roger is survived by his loving wife Shirley Dollyhite of the home, daughter and son-in-law Carol and Johnny King; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Jackie Dollyhite; grandchild, Shawn Senter; one great-grandchild, sisters and brothers-in-law, Gilda and Bobby Hamm, Rebecca Shumaker; brother Norris Dollyhite; sister-in-law, Faye Dollyhite. In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by three brothers, Gary Dollyhite, Edsel Dollyhite, Ebra Dollyhite. Per Roger’s request there will be no formal services held at this time. Moody’s of Mount Airy is respectfully serving the Dollyhite family.
