Roger Wayne Foster, a beloved father, friend, and dedicated tradesman, passed away on August 12, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas, just days shy of his 72nd birthday. Born on August 16, 1953, in San Antonio, Texas, Roger filled the lives of those around him with kindness and laughter, leaving an indelible mark that will be cherished forever. Roger is survived by his mother, Rebecca Bethune; his step-father, John Bethune; and his two sons, J.T. Foster and Wayne Foster. Although he was a man of few words, his actions spoke volumes, embodying a strong work ethic that defined his life. A tradesman by profession, his hands were always busy, whether it was working on his beloved car or tending to his yard, where he found peace and joy among the blooms. Roger was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Foster. An Air Force veteran, Roger served his country with honor, and his dedication was evident in all endeavors, both professional and personal. Outside of work, he found pleasure in simple things: he enjoyed fishing, indulging in seafood and Chinese food, and sharing quiet moments with his beloved cats. Those who knew him often spoke of his tender-hearted nature and his ability to connect with others, leaving lasting impressions through his kindness and compassion. While the world has lost a gentle soul, Roger Wayne Foster will always remain in our hearts. His spirit will be felt in the ripples of laughter, the quiet moments of reflection by the water, and in every tender memory we hold dear.
