Roger Harris Obituary
He was born on September 28, 1957 in Rolla, MO to the late Lester Harris and Dorothy Ann (King) Harris Bray. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Allen Bray.
Roger loved the outdoors and enjoying nature. Camping, fishing, and canoe float trips gave him much joy. Lakehouse trips to the Ozarks with his sons gave him immense happiness. He also liked drinking coffee and telling stories about the people he loved so much. He had a joy for life that was contagious even at the very end.
Roger will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes two sons, Taylor Harris and wife, Shana of Rolla, MO and Jared Armistead and wife, Shannan Colter of Wildwood, MO; a brother, Dennis Harris and wife, Pat of Fenton, MO; a grandson, Derek Armistead; a niece, Hollie Harris Caupp-Maxfield and her two sons Braedon and Greyson Caupp; several great nephews; and other extended family. He also considered his dogs to be family, Willie and Sissy.
A memorial service for Roger A. Harris will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Delbert Day Cancer Institute.
