Roger Allan Jacklyn

Roger Allan Jacklyn, age 79, died at his home in Richmond on February 23, 2026. He was born on October 30, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan to Joseph and Virginia (nee: Dolan) Jacklyn.

Roger served in the US Naval Reserve and was honorably discharged on March 24, 1973.

He received an associate degree from Macomb Community College. He began a career in Sales & Marketing and thoroughly enjoyed the interaction with his clients.

Roger was never hesitant to assist anyone who asked for his help, be it family, friend, or his Church. St. Clare of Montefalco Church was home to his faith family for almost 50 years.

Golf was Roger's passion and he always felt so lucky to have met the guys on the Wednesday Night League at Belle River Golf Course.

Roger is survived by his loving wife, Carol, who was his best friend for over 57 years. They shared a love for family who were like best friends and best friends who were like family.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, Godfather, and Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Roger was a devoted son and loved his cousins. He enjoyed the regular cousin luncheon get togethers. He was truly blessed.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, March 4 from 10:00 am until the time of his Funeral Mass at 10:30 am at St. Clare of Montefalco, 1401 Whittier, Grosse Pointe Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in honor of Roger to the Midwest Augustinians or the Michaelite Fathers.
