He retired from Gates Rubber Company.
Roger was preceded in death a son Tony Kirby.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Phyllis Kirby; a son, Roger Lee (Debora) Kirby Jr; three granddaughters, Ashlee (William) Stinnett, Casey (Robert) Messmer-Cotterell and Shea Kvachuk; two grandsons, Robert (Amanda) Kirby and Brian Kirby; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Ricky Spears and Jimmy Kirby.
Funeral services will be 12 Noon, Saturday, August 31, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Trent Evans officiating. Cremation will follow.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 Noon on Saturday at the funeral home.
