Roger "Bud" McGuire, age 85, passed away peacefully on Monday night, surrounded by family. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, Bud lived a full life marked by hard work, devotion, and love for his family.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1939 to Roger and Dorothy McGuire, a devoted Catholic, Bud proudly served in the United States Army. He worked as a floor covering installer for 66 years and was well known for his incredible work ethic and craftsmanship. A true car enthusiast, Bud had a lifelong passion for automobiles. He is survived by his loving wife Charlotte, with whom he shared 58 wonderful years of marriage. Bud was the devoted father of Kathy (Rod) Carlton, Marty (David) Glenn, Colleen (Dave) Demmy, and Joey (Stacy) McGuire.
He was the cherished grandfather of Jordan (Chris) Kluemper, Jared (Hannah) Carlton, Joel (Katy) Carlton, Christopher and Kaedence McGuire, Liam and Rory Glenn, and Kendal and Colin Demmy.
Bud also leaves behind several great-grandchildren: Adelyn, Elliott, Aria, Emry, Wyatt, and Charlotte. He is survived by his sisters, Rosemary (George) Kingston and Barbara Humphries.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Dorothy McGuire, and his brother, Michael McGuire. He will be remembered for his kind heart, steadfast dedication to his family, and the legacy he leaves behind in all who knew and loved him.
Services will be on Friday, May 9th at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Warsaw, Ky. A Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 P.M. Interment with full Military Honors at 2:00 P.M. at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY..

I grew up around Bud. My father and Bud were good friends. I spent a lot of time around the entire family and was always treated as part of the family. Bud will be greatly missed by all who knew or met him. God got a good one. Fly high Bud.
