Roger F. Phelps, 83, of Brewerton, passed away July 7, 2025. Roger was born in Rome, New York to Wallace and Thelma Phelps. Roger retired from Key Bank, Syracuse, where he had been a Regional Vice President of Mortgage Lending. He also worked for 15 years with Onondaga Abstract Inc. as the National Sales and Marketing Manager. Roger was an avid NY Yankees and Syracuse University fan. Roger and his wife loved spending winters in Englewood, Florida for many years. Roger cherished the time he spent with family especially during the holidays. He coached little league baseball and Babe Ruth Baseball for his son's teams in Camden, NY. He was a US Army veteran serving from 1960-1963 and served a tour in Japan. He had achieved the rank of SP4. He was also an active Civil War Re-enactor with the Virginia Botetourt Artillery.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Donald. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Phyllis Phelps, three sons, Daniel P. (Laurie) Phelps of Webster, NY; Timothy M. (Kristin) Phelps of Franklin, TN; David A (Charis) Phelps of Webster, NY; a step-son, Robert Marashian; and a step-daughter, Debra Bonanza; one niece, one nephew and five grandchildren.
