Roger Rankin Obituary
He was born July 4, 1959, to the late Dale and Bonnie (Marr) Rankin in Council Bluffs, IA. Roger was a longtime car salesman in Council Bluffs.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Roger is survived by his sons, Conner Rankin, Colton Rankin, and Ethan Rankin; siblings, Susan (Steve) Wimmer and Brian (Gailia Spenner) Rankin; stepdaughter, Leah Martinez; stepson, Nate German; a host of other family and friends.
Memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Monday, February 20, 2023.

First of all, our deepest sympathies to his family. We first met Roger at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN in January 2017 when we stayed at the Hope Lodge where everyone stayed during radiation treatments. My husband Tommy Keller would help him prepare potluck dinners every Tuesday at the facility. He took us, and a few others, to dinner to Victoria´s Restaurant. We also went out to eat at Canadian Honkers. We usually talked to him quite a few times since leaving Rochester in 2017. Our last call was December 2022. My husband wanted to wish him a Happy Birthday on July 4th but he was unable to get in touch with him. He searched Facebook and we found out Roger passed away 2/11/23. Roger wanted to come here to WV to visit us and had plannned to go to Florida. We just wanted his family to know that Roger was one of the nicest guys we met in Rochester. We had a lot of fun and laughs. He will be in our hearts forever and sadly missed. Hope to meet him again in Heaven. Love & prayers, Tommy & Lois Keller.
