Roger Rasmussen

Roger Rasmussen, 89 of Gaston County, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a caring brother, uncle and grandfather. For many others, he was a cherished friend.
Born in Wisconsin and raised in Lake Worth, Florida, Roger lived a life marked by kindness, hard work, a modest wisdom and quiet generosity. A talented painter by trade, he left his mark on countless homes and buildings throughout Palm Beach County, where his craftsmanship and attention to detail were widely admired.
Roger was always quick to lend a helping hand and offer a warm smile. He found joy in the simple things-staying active with small projects around the house and tending his garden. He was always puttering about with what he called his "busy work". Those who knew him will remember his easygoing spirit, his gentle humor, and his deep love for his family and friends.
He is a child of God and carried his faith with humility and grace. His life was a reflection of that faith-quiet, strong, and full of love.
Roger's presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is at peace, and they are grateful for the time they shared with such a good and faithful man.
The memorial service for Roger is this Thursday, May 22 at 2:00 pm at the Columbia Midtown Seventh-day Adventist Church located at 831 Maple Street.
Roger honorably served his country in the US Air Force and will be laid to rest at Georgia National Cemetery.
