Roger Renault Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Gresham Memorial Chapel on Jan. 30, 2026.
Roger Kent Renault was born in Lowell Massachusetts on October 2nd, 1945 to parents Roger and Mary Renault. Roger is survived by his children, Crystal Senn, Nick Renault, Justin Renault and Tyler Renault; siblings Sandra Testa, Ron Sleeper and Chadijah White; along with five grandchildren.
Roger spent much of his youth in a Catholic orphanage in Vermont. Although not ideal, as an adult Roger shared many warm stories of his time there without bitterness or regret. In 1964 as a young adult, he joined the U.S. Army as part of the 101st Airborne and served until1967.
After his service in the Army, Roger moved to Colorado and married his first wife, Grace. He later moved to Portland, Oregon, where he lived most of his adult life, meeting and marrying his second and third wives, Linda and Susan.
Roger discovered the Buddhist faith as an adult and attended a temple in Portland, Oregon for many years. That interest in the Buddhist faith sparked a trip to Thailand in the early 2000's. In additional to visiting Thailand in the early 2000's. Roger also bought a motorcycle and enjoyed riding locally as well as completing a trip across the U.S. on it.
Roger enjoyed a simple life and enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed playing video games and solving puzzles. Roger was an example of personal growth and rising above circumstances. Roger was fond of saying "everything is relative" and to remind others to "Be Here Now." His family loved and will miss him.
