Roger Earl Robinson, 65, of Newport, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the Crystal Coast Hospice House of Newport.
Roger began fishing at the age of 13 and went on to build a life and career on the water. He made his living as a commercial fisherman, dedicating himself to the trade with skill and perseverance. Over the years, he worked aboard the vessel "Amazing Grace," navigating the waters around Bear Creek and Swansboro.
His life was deeply connected to the sea, and his work reflected a commitment to both tradition and livelihood. Those who knew him will remember his enduring presence along the coast and his dedication to his craft.
The family will celebrate his life privately.
He is survived by his daughter, Helen Robinson of Newport; son, Oscar Robinson of Newport; grandson, Marlin of Newport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Pearl Robinson.
