Roger "Duck" Thompson, 67, went to be with his Lord on Monday, September 15, 2025. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2025, at FairHaven Funeral Home, 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Road, Macon, Georgia, with Pastor Stephen Wood officiating. The family will greet friends for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Born on August 1, 1958, in Macon, Roger was the son of the late Mr. Jimmie Thompson and Mrs. Eleanor Thompson. A devout Christian, Roger lived his life with faith, kindness, and generosity. He was a skilled machinist who took great pride in making custom car and motorcycle parts and loved sharing his knowledge with younger generations, always eager to mentor and teach.

Roger had many passions that brought joy to his life. He restored and collected antique toys, watches, and Donald Duck memorabilia, and he never passed up the chance to search for unique antiques. He enjoyed reading, listening to music, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, especially to the soundtrack of Southern rock. Known for his warm smile, friendly spirit, and willingness to help anyone in need, Roger was generous, funny, strong, and a true fighter as he faced cancer with courage.

Roger and his beloved wife, Lisa, shared 44 years of marriage filled with memories, including dating and honeymooning in his treasured Starsky and Hutch car. Their love was the foundation of his life, and he cherished every moment with her.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his siblings, Vivian Thompson and Kenneth Thompson. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Lisa Thompson; their special sister, Diana Wilson; godsons, Johnathan (Tiffany) Adams and Kenneth (Sarah) Wilson; along with a host of extended family and friends who will deeply miss him.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to their neighbor, Jimmy Kemp, and friend, Ricky Davis, for their care and support, as well as to the dedicated healthcare teams who went above and beyond: Emory Hospital – Warner Robins 2 nd and 5 th floor ICU Departments, DaVita Dialysis, Life Care EMS drivers, Amedisys Home Health, and especially his nurses Tiffany Adams and Missy; who through their compassion and care became family.

Roger "Duck" Thompson will be remembered as a man of faith, love, and strength, whose kindness and passion for life touched all who knew him.
