I served with Dr. Toffle in Naples Italy. He loved to roller skate and often would come onto the ward to check in after some skating around the hospital. He taught me how to work my clutch in a mini cooper I was struggling to learn. He was one of the nicest doctors and Naval Officers I ever served with. We were in Italy when he delivered his 1000 baby. All the Mom´s wanted to be that milestone baby but an Italian civilian national showed up in a private vehicle and became #1000. Connie Toffle was wonderful and equally part of our Naples family. I am so thankful to have served with him. God´s comfort and blessings to all who loved him.
