He was born on January 26, 1954 in Clarksdale, Mississippi to the late James Conway Voyles and Ethel Jewell Galespie.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Rogers; brother, James Voyles; two sisters, Judy Gibson and Diane Markle; and step daughter, Donna Kennedy.
He is survived by his son, Chance Voyles and his wife Jessica of Jackson; two daughters, Melissa Freeman and her husband Chad of Moscow and Michelle Parker and her husband Michael of Bartlett; step daughter, Dana VanBuskirk and her husband Paul of Memphis.
He is also survived by his brother, Gary Voyles and his wife Dee of Hernando, MS and eleven grandchildren, Ethan Voyles, Landon Voyles, Lucas Voyles, Callie Timms, Christian Price, Eric Parker, Michael Parker, Gabriele Parker, Isabella Parker, Owen Rogers and EJ Rogers.
A memorial gathering will be held from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 23, 2025 in the chapel of Medina Funeral Home.
