Roger Waters Obituary

Born October 17, 1955 to the late Vearl and Flara Waters, he was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. Roger owned and operated a poultry and cattle farm. He enjoyed hunting, cutting hay, Harley Davidson motorcycles, and antique cars. A member of Bethel Baptist Church, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, James Waters, Jerry Waters, Johnny Waters; and a granddaughter, Laura Bragg.
Surviving are his wife of 23 years, LaDonna Waters, Dawsonville; children, Shannon and Angela Waters, Dawsonville, Casey Waters, Dawsonville, Brian and Josie Mullins, Cumming, Devin and Melissa Mullins, Ellijay, Carla Maxie, Cumming, Marcus Maxie, Cumming; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters in law, Jo Waters, Dawsonville; Button Waters, Dallas; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 2 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jason Hamby and Rev. Stephen Davis will officiate. Interment will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 until 8 at the funeral home.
