Roger Allen Wilcox, 74, died August 28,2025 at his home in Sigourney, Iowa. He was born July 4, 1951, to Loren A. and Dorothy A. Baker Wilcox in Ottumwa, Iowa. He graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1969. He enlisted in the Unites States Airforce; he later graduated from Hawkeye Tec in Waterloo with a diploma in Mechanics. Roger lived in the Hampton area and was a mechanic on semi-trailers. On July 1, 1973, he married Jan Wehr in Sigourney. They later divorced. He was employed by Kaser Rock Quary and drove the pit truck and later he was employed at Amana Refrigeration for 25 years until he retired. Roger enjoyed reading, fishing, camping and being out in nature.
He was preceded in death by his parents one brother Ronald Neal.
He is survived by his children Jeremy Wilcox and Andrew (Amanda Besco) all of Sigourney. Grandchildren Travis Wilcox and Zeth Wilcox-LaValley, Brooklyn Lucas, Lexi Lucas, Jacob Lucas, Madison Lucas, two great grandchildren Austin Dison-Wilcox, Luke Wilcox sister-in-law Patricia Neal of Ankeny and several nieces and nephews.
