Roger Leland Wilhelmi

Roger Leland Wilhelmi, age 80, of Plymouth, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 23, 2025. He was born on March 11, 1945, in Northville, Michigan, the son of Joseph and Wanda (Anderson) Wilhelmi. Roger is survived by his lifelong partner of more than 30 years, Nancy Williams. He was a devoted father to his three daughters, Deanna Filarski, Kristen (Gregory) Campbell, and Bethany (Jeffery) Peters. He leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Ashley (Michelle) Peters, Rachelle Filarski, Brooke Peters, Courtney Campbell, Jordan Campbell, and Collin Campbell, all of whom were the light of his life. He is also remembered by Nancy's daughter, Kris Williams, and by many loving nieces and nephews. He is survived by his sister, Susan Lampman, and was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Wanda Wilhelmi, and his siblings Lawrence Wilhelmi and Patricia Stanbury. Roger proudly served his country in the United States Army in 1966. Following his service, he dedicated more than 30 years of his career working for the City of Novi. A true sports enthusiast, Roger was a devoted fan of the Detroit Tigers, Lions, and Red Wings. He loved spending time at the card table with friends, especially playing poker. Above all, Roger cherished his family and took every opportunity to speak with pride about his grandchildren. Roger was above all a loving father, a dedicated papa, a caring brother and uncle, and a great friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Roger's final resting place will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan where a private service will be held.
