Roger Eugene Willard, 71, of Sanford passed away on May 16, 2023.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, March 8, 2024, at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.
Roger is remembered for his service to our nation and more importantly, to his family. Mr. Willard served our nation honorably in Vietnam and Desert Storm. He was kind, generous, and loving.
He is survived by his children Heather L. Jarvis; Christopher A. Willard, Erica L. Willard; Sylvia L. Pattishall (Frank), Lonnie L. Lemons; grandchildren Tyler Lykens, Kolton Griffin, Paige Willard, Kaleb Willard, Krystle Cole, Stacey Boughton (Ben), Tiffany Pattishall, Ellie Wright, Drake Mason Gunter; greatgrandchildren Emilia Lykens and Frankie Boughton; siblings Barry Willard, Jessie Willard, David Willard (Dorthy), Annette Arnette (Doc), Wilma Smith, Alma Todd (Dale), Patricia Porter, and Wanda Gunter (Jeff).
He was preceded in death by his father Jessie Lee Willard; mother Cleo Estella Southard Willard; wife Anne Richardson Lemons Willard; grandchildren Landon Suggs and Aiden Lemons; siblings Linda Hill and Arthur Willard
