Roger Wilson Obituary
Roger Lee Wilson, 75, of Lenoir passed away June 22, 2023 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. He was born on January 13, 1948 to the late Alfred and Leona Tench Wilson. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Norma Crook Wilson; sons, Roger Lee Wilson, Jr. and Ronald Lee Wilson; and brothers, Ronnie and Danny Wilson. Roger loved racing, race cars, Dodge's Waylon Jennings music, and his fury friend, Polly. After retiring from Mt. Holly, he worked in security. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Survivors include his daughters Teresa Wilson Robinson and husband Dale and Tina Sawyer. Son, Waylon Wilson; brother, Ricky Wilson; grandchildren, Ashley, Devan, Chase, and Alexeya; and great grandson, Abel Lee.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. at Benson Funeral & Cremation Services, Mt. Holly with Timmy McCarns officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
