Roger Wykle, 81, formerly of Bloomington, MN and Kimble Lake, MN passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at the CentraCare Monticello St. Benedict Village Retirement Community in Monticello, MN under hospice care. There are no services planned at this time and his cremains will be buried in the Jackson Township Cemetery in Montezuma, Iowa. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of Montezuma is in charge of the arrangements.

Roger Kent Wykle, the son of Carroll and Berniece (Varland) Wykle, was born on February 13, 1944 in State Center, Iowa. He graduated from State Center High School with the class of 1962. Roger attended Ellsworth Community College where he played football and met Ginger Bunnell, a football cheerleader. Roger and Ginger were married on March 21, 1964 at the Montezuma First Presbyterian Church. To this union, two sons were born, Scott and Chris.

Roger received his bachelor's degree in accounting from Iowa State University. They lived in Des Moines and Marshalltown, Iowa before moving to the University of Indiana where Roger received his master's degree in business. Roger and Ginger then moved to Denver, Colorado for a short time before moving to Bloomington, Minnesota in 1977 where they raised their children and Roger began his career as a CPA. Roger and Ginger retired to their lake home in northern Minnesota where Roger enjoyed golfing, outdoor activities, playing cards, snowmobiling, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.

His legacy will be cherished by his wife, Ginger Wykle of Monticello, MN; his sons, Scott Wykle of Minneapolis, MN and Chris (Jenny) Wykle of Buffalo, MN; grandchildren, Lora (James) Clem-Burton, Jacob Wykle, Grant (Brooke) Wykle and Brock Wykle; great grandchildren, Sydney and Cameron Clem; along with several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Carroll and Berniece Wykle; two sisters, Barb Witte and Karen Peshel, nephew Jeffrey Witte, and a grandson-in-law, David Clem.
