Billy Gorsuch

Billy Gorsuch of Montezuma, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in Montezuma. Burial will be held in the Barnes City Cemetery at Barnes City with military rites. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Poweshiek County Pals. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of Montezuma is in charge of the arrangements.

Billy Clyde Gorsuch, 84, of Montezuma, Iowa passed away on November 11, 2025 at his Montezuma Home. Bill was born on November 1, 1941 at New Sharon, Iowa, the son of Clyde (Doc) and Iva Gorsuch. Bill attended and graduated from New Sharon High School in 1960. He then attended the University of Iowa where he received a BA degree in Business Administration in 1964. He then spent two years in the United States Army, serving in the Yukon Command in Alaska. After returning to the States, he worked for Wilson Foods in Cedar Rapids for five and a half years. Bill then returned to the family farm and farmed with his dad. Bill enjoyed farming, cattle, animals and the weather. He enjoyed listening to several weather channels and enjoyed all animals and especially his dogs.

Bill is survived by his special family, Matt and Mandy Mathes and their family along with many other relatives and friends.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Iva.
