I am saddened to hear that your dad has passed. He was ALWAYS very kind to me and my family. He always had a smile on his face, whenever I saw him. To Rolanda and Rolonda, Remember GOD NEVER makes a mistake in life or death. I lost my dad at a young age. It helps me to remember the hugs and his smiles he gave me. A father can never be replaced, but take comfort in knowing to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
Your cousin,
Tawanda J. Finney

Rest in Peace (Uncle Lil Man)
No matter what you called him, Dad, Rock, Roland or Lil Man,
We all will miss him deeply; but we can find comfort in God’s plan.
I have so many memories of things that he would say,
So many times he’d make me laugh at his very laid back way.
There were many things he loved in life like playing cards and watching TV,
But most of all, he always helped and loved his family.
So now it’s time to say goodbye, may our memories ease our pain,
We love and miss you uncle, Rest now we’ll meet again.

Connie, my thoughts & prayers are with you in your time of loss. May Gods grace keep you in the moments when you're feeling all alone.
A few years back I was getting on a crowded city bus and I heard someone say "Lisa Diane Brown" what are you doing on here? I recognized the voice as Rock. (He remembered that was how I introduced myself to you guys over almost 20 years ago) I think about that moment and laugh to myself, because Rock was always friendly and outgoing. Be Blessed!

To all of Rock's family, Russell and I are heartsick and deeply saddened by the loss of truly one of the greatest men we have ever had the honor of knowing. To Rolonda and Rolanda, please know that your father loved you very, very much; and whenever I coaxed it out of him, he would always have pictures of you with him and let me know just a bit of what was going on in your lives. He was proud to be your father! To Mrs. Carter, Rock's mom, I think all he did was try to be the kind of man and son that you would be ever so proud of; and I know you are.
It made him so happy to be able to help take care of you and watch out for you through the years!
Russell and I met Rock 25 years ago, and the one thing we know is that he was the kind of man that did the right things for the right reasons - because that was ingrained in who he was as a man, a devoted friend to all of our family, and the most dedicated employee that anyone could ever hope to come across in their lifetime. You meant so much to our children, Stephanie and Rusty. You let them work right along with you as the grew from tiny babies to adults with children of their own, and you befriended all of them as well! Every single time I personally had the privilege of working on a "project" side by side with you, the time would pass that much quicker for the joy of your little jokes and the fun of being in your company!
Russell and I have not only lost a dear friend in you, the entire Malone family feels that we have lost a member of our own family. I pray you and your family know how very much we all cherished knowing you. We are all better people for it. Bless you, Rock, as Gods holds you in His loving arms, and may those same loving arms hold and comfort all those that loved you.
We miss you already.
With much love and gratitude for all you were,
Russell and Beth Malone
