Rolande S. Duverger, born June 18th, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, was a woman of unwavering faith and relentless ambition. Her loving spirit and generous heart left indelible marks on the lives of all who knew her. Rolande, who transitioned on April 4, 2025, lived a life that was a testament to her courage and determination. Despite any challenges she faced, she remained a beacon of hope and resilience, never giving up, no matter how sick she was. Rolande's life was deeply rooted in her faith and her family, which she held dear to her heart.
Rolande spent her professional years as a dedicated Home Health Aid, serving others in the community. She was a pillar of strength and comfort to those she cared for, embodying the true essence of her occupation. Rolande's commitment to her work was only surpassed by her devotion to her faith and family. In her free time, Rolande found joy in singing, dancing, and traveling. She was an ardent fan of basketball, wrestling, and Haitian soap operas. Rolande's vibrant spirit and infectious laughter filled every room she entered. A member of the 7th Day Adventist Church, she lived Proverbs 31:25, "She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future."
Rolande leaves behind a legacy of love and faith. She is survived by her children, Ermence Celestin (Derly Raymond), Junior Richard (Myrlande), Roselaure Richard-Duvet, Murielle Richard (Marcus Souverain), Darline Richard, Samuel Duverger (Kelly), and Marie-Ange Richard. She was a proud and adoring grandmother to Subrina Richard, Rooselyanne Richard, Rodjyeev Duvet, Rodayeena Duvet, Subrianna Richard, Kristy Richard, LeslieAnn Granjean, Landon Duverger, Roosevelt Richard, Joshua Souverain, Abigael Souverain, Christian Souverain, Marlie Souverain, Chaika Souverain, Roodmya Richard, Markenley Richard, Farah Y. Noisy, Michelange Pascal, brother Georges Durverger, Pierrot Durverger, sister Yvrose Tessier. She will also be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorceus Duverger and Ceane Venant.
Family and friends may greet Rolande's family for a Viewing on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Lambie Funeral Home, 8000 Rowland Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19136. Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 10:00 am at Beersheba Adventist Church, 4150 Woodhaven Road, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19154. Interment will follow at Beechwood Cemetery, Bensalem, PA.
