Rolland Charles Bailey of Klamath Falls, Oregon died February 5, 2026 at Plum Ridge Marquis Nursing Home. Rolland was born March 17, 1943 to Charles and Mickey Bailey at Hillside Hospital in Klamath Falls.

Rolland attended Sacred Heart Elementary and High School. He went on to attend Gonzaga University, Southern Oregon University, and the Oregon Institute of Technology. Rolland also served in the Oregon National Guard. Rolland worked most recently at the Klamath Senior Center, but also spent time in retail sales and as a realtor. He also served on the Basin Transit Service (BTS) Transportation District Board of Directors for many years.

Rolland's passion was sports and coaching. He was a beloved baseball, soccer and basketball coach. He coached many competitive teams and traveled with them throughout the state of Oregon. Rolland spent numerous hours volunteering his time for youth sports. He was even inducted into the Klamath Union Hall of Fame in gratitude to his many years of keeping the clock at the school's basketball games. Rolland was also an avid sports fan and dedicated Oregon Ducks follower. He could

talk sports with anyone.

Rolland was known for his sense of humor. He loved a good joke, and always had the ability to keep a straight face when pulling your leg.

Rolland is survived by his daughter and son in-law Sara and Stephen Oakes, daughter and son in-law Tracy and Tim Whisenhunt. Grandchildren Hanna, Emma, and Noah Oakes, Kelsey Bailey-Sellars, Kanen McClure, Kyle Whisenhunt, and Krysta Whisenhunt. He is also survived by three great grandchildren and his siblings Tim Bailey (Kris), Ann Bailey, Mary Lou Wogan (Cameron), and Sara Andert (Dale). He was beloved by his nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Rolland's many friends who enriched his life and to Klamath Hospice which was so helpful in his final days.

Memorial donations in Rolland's name can be made to Klamath Falls Little League at PO Box 1212, Klamath Falls, OR 97601. Donations will go towards field and equipment maintenance, umpire costs, and scholarship needs.
