Romeo Bacchetti Obituary

Romeo Antonio Bacchetti, the oldest World War II veteran in the Klamath Basin, passed away January 20, 2026, in Klamath Falls, Oregon, at the age of 100. He was born April 1, 1925, in Dorris, California, to Antonio and Maria (Pastega) Bacchetti. Romeo leaves behind his daughter, Karen Hensley, and sons John and Randel Bacchetti. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 9:30 AM, followed by A Mass of Christian Burial, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Klamath Falls. My sympathy to Romeo's family. I have enjoyed hearing about him from Karen for many years. His legacy will be handed down to many others.

I am sorry to hear of Romeo´s passing. I enjoyed visiting with him years ago when he came to the BLM office in Klamath for wood permits. I appreciate his service in WW II. What a long life full of experiences.
