Rollin Owen Burns, (67) born on June 6, 1957, passed away on January 27, 2025 while in the care of the Ohio State University Hospital. He was born in Coshocton, Ohio to Robert and Mary Burns on June 6, 1957. After graduating from Zanesville H.S, he furthered his education with a degree in accounting. His career included being an accountant for a local area pottery company; followed by many years with Longaberger Basket Co. During his retirement he continued to work as a contractor for Nautilus and Healthy’s “Fitness”. Rollin was a member of Pleasant Grove Church since his teenage years and was very dedicated to his church family; he acted as the media director at Pleasant Grove for some time.
Rollin is survived by his cousins, Shirley Decore Spicer, John Decore, Sharon Decore Larkins.
He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and June Hettich Burns, as well as his aunt, Gladys Hettich Decore, to whom he was very close; and his cousin, Susan Decore Post.
Friends and family may call from 11:00 until time of service at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the PLEASANT GROVE CHURCH, 400 PLEASANT GROVE RD, ZANESVILLE with Pastor Eddie Warne officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Grove cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Rollin's memory to Pleasant Grove Global Methodist Church.
