Rollin A. "Mike" Naus, 83, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Thursday, June 15, at Lebanon VA Medical Center, Lebanon.
Born in Orwigsburg, on May 6, 1940, he was a son of the late Evelyn M. (Naus) Goas.
He was the husband of Patricia A. (Vitelli) Naus, his wife of 64 years.
Mike was a 1959 graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School.
He served in the Air Force from 1959-64. His fondest memory of his military service was the year he spent stationed in Alaska.
Mike retired as a corporal from the Schuylkill Haven Borough police force after 25 years of service. He later owned and operated Rollin Naus Home Remodeling.
He was a very active life member of the East End Gun Club. He also belonged to the East Ward Social Club, Schuylkill Hose Company and the Fraternal Order of Police.
In addition to his mother, he is also preceded in death by his son, Richard "Wes" Naus, and stepfather, Marlin Goas.
In addition to his wife, Mike is also survived by a daughter, Lisa Bott, a son, Michael Naus, husband of Sheila and a daughter-in-law, Robyn Naus, all of Schuylkill Haven. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Stacey Yeich (Cody), Eric, Tyler, Jacob and Brandon Naus and Michael and Nicholas Bott (Sarah); and four sisters, Karen Sweigert, Beth Ann Gavaletz, Sue Drey, and Jayne Herndon.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Visitation from 9 until 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven. Interment with military honors will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. The family prefers remembrances in the form of contributions to Access Services, 500 W.
