Roman C. Faber Jr. age 66 of West Bend died Monday, October 27, 2025 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. He was born July 14, 1959 in Fort Carson, CO to Roman and Johanna (nee Lehn) Faber.
On August 24, 1984 he was united in marriage to Nancy L. Ziegelbauer at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Church.
Roman was a hard worker who easily made friends and would do anything to help others. He was a life-long farmer who found peace and happiness while in the fields. He also worked at West Bend tire for many years before founding and operating N&R Tire Service with his wife, Nancy. Roman used his skills while working for the Town of Polk and also loved being a bus driver for Johnson Bus.
Two traits that set Roman apart from others are generosity and service. If someone was in need Roman would gladly help them any way he could and ask nothing in return. He enjoyed volunteering at the St. Mary's Rummage Sale and was often found at some of our local restaurants.
Roman is survived by his wife of 41 years, Nancy, 3 children: Danielle (Nick Nitz) Wolf of Oshkosh, Krista (Dan) Knoeck of Random Lake and Matthew Faber of West Bend and 2 grandchildren: Alexandra LeDuc and Landon Knoeck. He is further survived by his siblings: Cindy (Chuck) Lawson of AZ, Robert Faber of Florida, Russel (Julie) Faber of Slinger and Ronald (Laurie) Faber of Chilton, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roman and Johanna Faber, his daughter, Jessica at a young age, his granddaughter Peyton, his brother-in-law Steven Ziegelbauer and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend. Rev. Jacob Strand will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary's New Cemetery. The family will greet visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m.
