SWANTON - Ronald Barrette, age 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 18th, 2024, at Birchwood Terrace in Burlington, Vermont.
Ronald was born on February 22, 1948, to Clayton and Madonna (Langlois) Barrette.
Ronald attended and graduated from Swanton High School. He was drafted right out of high school into the United States ARMY where he served many years for them. He was honorably discharged after becoming disabled during his time serving our country. Ronald received a Purple Heart and the Silver Star award.
Ronald could always be found lending a hand to many neighbors. He was very generous, kindhearted, and thoughtful. Ronald always had a love for animals and the outdoors. Ronald also enjoyed watching NFL football and NASCAR racing.
Ronald is survived by his siblings, Karen Masse, Brian Barrette, Cynthia Beauregard and her life partner James Mullen, David Barrette and his wife Dale; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to Ronald's life celebration events to include visitation on Wednesday, February 28th, 2024, from noon-1:00PM with a memorial service following at 1:00PM at the Goss Life Celebration Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton, VT 05488. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Swanton.
