Ronald William Berkeley, Jr., 55, of Pittsfield, passed away unexpectedly on May 24, 2025.
Ronnie is survived by his five beloved children: Havah, Savannah, Kiarra, Ronnie III, and Nicholas, as well as their mother, Michelle. Ronnie leaves his mother, Patricia; his sister, Kyla; and brother-in-law, Wayne. He leaves his siblings: Ronnica, Christina, Melody, and Kenneth. His nieces and nephew: Ciara, Kalise, and Kalvin. Along with, his two grandsons, Thomas and a baby boy expected in August. He is now reunited with his brother Ricky, whom we lost in 2017. Ronnie was deeply loved by those who called him dad, husband, brother, son, papa, uncle, nephew, and friend.
Son of the late Ronald W. Berkeley Sr. and Patricia A. Hill, Ronnie was born on August 7, 1969, in Pittsfield. Ronnie graduated from Taconic High School in 1987 and went on to serve in the United States military. He supported his growing family by working as an operator at Verizon for 27 years, retiring just last year.
Those who knew Ronnie will remember a man full of life and love. Ronnie was a big fan of the Boston Red Socks, Dallas Cowboys, Boston Bruins, Philadelphia 76ers' and the Syracuse basketball team. He enjoyed walks, nature, music, and most of all fatherhood. Despite life's challenges, he remained a devoted dad, creating memories his children will carry forever.
While his passing leaves our hearts full of sadness, we can take comfort in knowing Ronnie is at peace, no longer burdened by life's struggles. He can rest now.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, May 31, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield MA. A reception will follow at the Polish Falcons Club.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to Dery Funeral Home to help Ronnie's children with the costs of saying goodbye.
