Ronald Bilionis, age 81, of Libertyville, IL, passed away on December 16, 2023, at Story Point Libertyville. Born to Hazel Bilionis Vinson and Stanley Bilionis in Fort Dodge, IA, he graduated from Clinton High School where he met his high school sweetheart, Claudia (Wilson). They were married 62 years and had two children.
Ron lived his entire life in the Midwest and spent forty years of his life as an insurance agent/manager and loved to visit with and take care of his customers. In his spare time, you might have found him in his woodworking shop building clocks or making toys, building model airplanes, in the kitchen cooking, or out in the backyard feeding the birds. He was famous for his homemade sweet breads and people all around Libertyville were blessed by frequent deliveries from "The Bread Man." Ron had the ability to fix most anything and was always a helping hand to those he knew. He genuinely loved to visit and enjoyed nothing more than a stroll through the neighborhood, talking with folks along the way.
Ron is survived by his loving and devoted wife Claudia and his two children Laurie (Bilionis) Smith (Craig Smith) of Petersburg, VA, and Brian Bilionis (Susan Wellborn) of Long Beach, CA; two grand children Kate and Jake Smith; two sisters, Janet Winters and Sandra Roeder; a step-brother, Richard Vinson; and an "adopted grand daughter," Christina Alvarez. He is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Jane Stringer.
