Ronald “Bo” D. Bodeen, 70 of New Windsor, died November 13, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his family. A celebration of life will be held on December 7th from 1 to 5 PM at the Mercer County Senior Center. Private family burial will be in New Windsor Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family or the New Windsor Fire Department. Speer Funeral Home, Aledo is assisting the family.

Bo was born on December 28, 1954, in Moline, Illinois to Curtis & Verla (Shannon) Bodeen. He married Debra Johnson on October 22, 1988, in New Windsor. She preceded him in death on September 14, 2024.

Bo worked in the tire department for both Mer-Roc FS & Gold Star FS. In his spare time, he could be found fishing, playing cards, especially hand and foot and just spending time with family. He especially liked to watch TV and do diamond dots with his grandchildren and torment his sister Janice while playing cards. His favorite TV shows included Car Shows, Old Westerns and Wrestling. His special canine companion, Mooney didn’t leave his side. Bo enjoyed watching his dancing angel and couldn’t wait until he could dance again with Deb.

Bo is survived by his children: Michelle (Brad Bowers) Hannah; Bobbie (Wayne) Cunningham; John Hannah; Shawn (Bre) Burgmeier and Lori (Robert Costner) Hall; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Becky (Ron) Tornquist; Kenny (Cindy) Bodeen; Janice Moore; Bill (Janet) Bodeen and Lori (Keith) Taflinger and many nieces and nephews. Bo was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Deb; brother-in-law, Bob Moore and niece, Carissa Bodeen.
