Nancy Ann Bodeen (Lindquist), age 80, of Shakopee, MN (formerly of Herbster, WI), passed away peacefully Thursday morning, January 30, 2025. She was born February 14, 1944, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Mark and Anna (Wolf)
Lindquist and sister to the late John Lindquist.
When Nancy was 14, her family moved from Chicago to the south shore of Lake Superior to own and run a quaint beach resort in Herbster, WI. She would eventually head west after high school to California with Ted Bodeen, Jr. (former spouse), while he was in the Navy. When his commitment to the service ended, they moved to Shakopee from Wisconsin to work and raise their family (they would later divorce in 1995). Nancy worked for the Shakopee school district for 30 years. She attended endless activities for her children; track & field meets, volleyball games, basketball games, scouts, softball games, plays, recitals, concerts she was a great mom and a huge fan of her kids. She loved to travel, entertain, volunteer, and meet people. She was the most social of the social butterflies. Her favorite colors were green and yellow. She loved the northwoods and Freddy Mercury. Nancy was an avid reader, thrifter, crafter, card player and giver. She was a friend to all and made sure you felt welcome. She had a great hug. To know her was to love her.
Nancy is survived by her son Steve (Stephanie), daughter Tracy (Brian) and grandchildren Clea and Leo. She also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
**The family will hold a private memorial service to celebrate Nancy's life.
