Ronald Richard Caiazzo Sr., affectionately known as "Mr. Ron" to his friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025, at Windham Hospital. Born on January 22, 1941, Mr. Ron lived a full and vibrant life, marked by his friendly demeanor, kind heart, and loving nature.
Mr. Ron was a devoted husband to his wife, Brenda Caiazzo, with whom he shared 40 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a family, and a home filled with laughter and love. He was a cherished father to his children, Dawn, Margaret, Ronald Jr., Nicole, and Eric, who will remember him as a guiding light and a source of unwavering support. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Chloe, Michelle, Tessa, Joshua, and Wyatt, who brought immense joy and pride to his life.
Ron spent several years working for Electric Boat before becoming a bus driver for Headstart where he was giving the endearing name of "Mr. Ron". He was loved and cherished by both the children and parents he encountered, taking care of them as if they were his own. Later in life, Ronald also held various positions at Shaw's and Price Rite, where his colleagues valued his teamwork and positive attitude. His presence in the workplace was always a source of encouragement and camaraderie.
Ronald's impact on the community extended beyond his professional roles. He was a man who greeted everyone with a smile and was always ready to lend a helping hand. His warmth and generosity were felt by all who had the pleasure of crossing his path.
Ronald had a life well-lived and a was man well-loved. His spirit and the memories he created will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew him.
In honor of Ronald Richard Caiazzo, a life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Ronald's family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson Street, Willimantic, CT.
