Ronald Care Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Eastern Shore Cremation and Funeral Service on Oct. 1, 2025.
Ronald Scott "Ron" Care, 69, went to be with Jesus on January 5, 2025, in Berlin, Maryland. Born on April 14, 1955, in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, Ron built a life centered around faith, family, and service to others. He began his career as an auto mechanic before launching his own business in 1978 as a Snap-on Tools Dealer. Over the course of more than 45 years, he earned numerous accolades, including the prestigious World's Best Field Group award in 1987. Beyond his professional success, Ron was deeply committed to mentoring hundreds of business owners and serving thousands of customers with dedication and integrity. Ron was a devoted husband to Cheryl Care for 50 years. He is also survived by his siblings James "Jimmy" & Margaret Care and Donald "Don" & Jeanne Care; his children Christopher "Chris" & Jennifer Care, Michael "Mike" & Angela Care, Brian Care, and Brandi & Philip Hicks; and his eight beloved grandchildren: Logan Care, Crystal Hicks, Natalie Care, Brandon Hicks, Taylor Care, Lucas Care, Dylan Care, and Adalynn "Addy" Care. He was preceded in death by his parents James & May Care and his first daughter Crystal Lee Care. A man of deep faith, Ron was a follower of Jesus whose belief sustained him through life's challenges. Most recently, he was an active member of SonRise Church in Berlin, Maryland. His generosity was evident in the way he cooked for others and ensured the church's donation center remained stocked with new and gently used items for those in need. Ron found joy in fishing, cooking meals for loved ones, traveling-especially on cruises-watching NASCAR and football games, and scouting out the best deals on food. His loyalty and generosity were unmatched; he had a passion for helping others improve their lives. Whether it was offering encouragement to aspiring business owners or preparing a meal with all the fixings for friends and neighbors, Ron's actions were guided by his unwavering faith and love for those around him. His memory will live on through his family and the countless lives he touched with kindness and selflessness.
