Ronald Carrillo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Castle Ridge Mortuary - North on Apr. 1, 2025.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ronald M. Carrillo, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and retired firefighter, who left us on March 25, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on October 2, 1961, in San Antonio, Texas. Ron lived a life full of love, laughter, and service to others.
For 34 years, he proudly served as a firefighter/paramedic with the San Antonio Fire Department, dedicating himself to protecting and helping his community. His bravery, work ethic, and kindness earned him the respect of his colleagues and the gratitude of those he helped. Even in retirement, his passion for lending a helping hand never faded-whether fixing something around the house, helping a friend in need, or offering words of wisdom, he was always there for friends and family.
Beyond his career, Ron embraced life to the fullest. He found joy in the simple things-fishing at his beach house in Rockport, sharing laughs with friends, hitting big on the slots in Vegas, watching his grandson's sports games, and enjoying a cold beer at MK Davis. He had a knack for making people laugh, a heart that never hesitated to give, and a talent for fixing just about anything. His presence lit up every room, and his sense of humor made even the toughest days a little brighter. Ron was a devoted family man who cherished every moment spent with his wife, Sylvia Carrillo, daughters, and grandsons. His love and guidance will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
In addition to his wife, Sylvia Carrillo, he is survived by his daughters, Alina Carrillo-Allard and Kendra Carrillo; two grandchildren, Preston Allard and Lincoln Allard; two brothers and their families, Louis (Pia) Carrillo and Roy Carrillo; two sisters and their families, Sylvia (Joe) Tiersen and Cynthia Arredondo; two sisters-in-law, Drs. Leticia (Oscar) Cerda and Patsy (Mike) Davis; one brother-in-law, Humberto (Diana) Arredondo; 13 nieces and nephews; 11 great nieces and nephews; and pallbearers, Michael Davis, Mando Saucedo, Joe San Miguel, Abel Gomez, Ponch Morales, Rene Castillo, and Chris Fink.
Ron was preceded in death by parents, Louis Carrillo and Ofelia Sandoval Carrillo; one brother, Richard Carrillo; one sister, Diana Carrillo; and one brother-in-law, Alex Arredondo.
Services honoring his life will be held on Thursday April 3, 2025, from 5-8pm, Rosary at 6pm, at Castle Ridge Mortuary North. Final viewing will take place Friday April 4, 2025, from 9-11am at Castle Ridge Mortuary North. Following, mass will take place at 12pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Helotes. Burial to follow at Cordi-Marian Resurrection Cemetery. In honor of his memory, the family invites family and friends to raise a glass, share a story, and keep his spirit alive by continuing to help others, laugh often, and cherish the good times.
Rest easy Ron-your watch is over, but your legacy will never fade.
