Ronald Curtis Carter, 76, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. He was born on March 30, 1947 in Ogden, Utah. He graduated from Ben Lomond High School where he played football, basketball, and ran track; he was an allstar athlete.
He married Judy Templeton in Las Vegas, NV in 1980; and they have four children.
Ronald worked as a sheet metal fabricator at Hill Air Force Base after serving in the military, both active and reserves until he retired.
His motto was “I walk by faith and not by sight.” He didn’t regularly attend church but read from “Daily Bread” on a daily basis.
Ronald’s passion was sports, particulary coaching basketball in the youth sports program.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Judy; children, Lamont and Jayla Carter of Dillon, MT; Quentin and Kristin Carter of Ogden, UT; Gregory Johnson of UT; and Tina Marie Templeton of Las Vegas, NV; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and siblings, Rodney Carter of Las Vegas, NV; Tony Carter of Las Vegas, NV; Kevin Carter of California; and Tanya Finks of Las Vegas, NV. He was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma; and brother, Tyronne Carter.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Evergreen Cemetery.
