Mr. Ronald Chamness, of Marion, Illinois, passed away on February 21, 2025, at the age of 81. He was born on March 5, 1943.
Ronald was a dedicated employee of Marion Unit 2 School District, where he worked in maintenance until his retirement in 1999. He also proudly served as a Sergeant in the Army.
Outside of work, Ronald had a passion for building and fixing things and was known for his craftsmanship and attention to detail.
He is survived by his loving spouse, Carolyn Sue Chamness, whom he married in 1962. Together, they raised two children, Rhonda Banks and Christi McGee (Jeff), four grandchildren, Chris Banks (Morgan) and Jenny Jones of Marion, IL. Aaron McGee (Kristina) Evansville, In and Matthew McGee (Emily) St. Louis, Mo. Great Grandchildren Kayla, Emma, Ruby, Ellie, Mya and soon to be Baby Beckett and his beloved pet Dolli.
Ronald will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
