Ronald Cheek, Sr., age 68, passed away peacefully at home on January 5, 2026. Affectionately known as "Boda" to family and close friends, he was born in Neptune, NJ to the late Edward Cheek, Sr. and Shirley Cheek.

Ronald was educated in East Orange public schools where he received his diploma. After high school, he went on to work at Essex County Community College for two years. Ronald worked as a fulfillment associate for many years before going on to obtain his Commercial Driver's License. Thereafter, he went on to drive trucks until his retirement.

When Ronald was not working, he enjoyed fishing and playing card games. He was known for his protective nature with the ones who were closest to him.

He is predeceased by his parents, Edward Cheek Sr. and Shirley Cheek; son, Ronald Cheek, Jr.; brothers, Edward Cheek Jr. and Stanley Cheek Sr.

Ronald is survived by his daughters, Latisha Brown and Tamyila Clark; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Darryl Cheek (Robin) and George Cheek (Audrey); sister-in law, Natalia Hudson-Cheek (Stanley, Sr.); and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
