Mr. Ronald C. Clements Sr., age 90, of Moberly, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023, peacefully in his home with his family.
He was born in Greentop, Missouri, the son of the late Elfa R. Houston Clements and Byron H.W. Clements.
In 1951, Ron and his twin brother, Don walked down Reed Street to catch the bus and served his country in the United States Army for 3 years (1951-1953) he was a very proud veteran. Ron retired from McKee Baking Company after thirty years of service. Ronald was a Mason and Shriner.
Ron was a devoted and loving husband, father, uncle, and grandfather. Ron’s journey in life was marked by his dedication and passion for his work, his friends, his volunteering at the Towers/Meals on Wheels for 13 years. Ron was a avid clock and watch collector. In his free time Ron enjoyed spending time in the community visiting with friends. He knew no stranger, he would sit at our local Wal-Mart greeting everyone who passed with a smile and if you were lucky, a sit down for a story of his. He made this community a brighter place in all he did.
Ron is survived by his wife, Judy Clements of Moberly, MO; daughter, Kathryn McMath (Michael) of Lake Wylie, SC a son, Ronald Clements Jr. (Cheryl) of Albuquerque, NM; stepson, Matt McKinney (Brittany); grandchildren, Christopher and Nicolina Converso, Ronnie Clements III; step-grandchildren, Liam and Aidan; sister-in-law, Pat Clements of Macon, GA; nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents; his brothers, Donald and Byron Clements and nephew Scott Clements. Ron loved spending time with his family.
Ron battled his illness with dignity and strength like the warrior he was at heart. He fought to be around all those who he loved for as long as he could. Ron could not have done that without the wonderful care he received from his amazing healthcare providers Dr Phil Stitzer of Moberly, Missouri; Dr. Julie Stansfield, Jamie and Teresa, RN’s and the entire white team at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans' Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. Nursing and Company Carme, RN. all the aides at Aero Care, and St. Croix Hospice. He loved everyone and was extremely grateful for his impeccable care.
A special thank you to the Patriot Guard Riders, Courtney and the staff at Pathway Funeral Home for assisting in the beautiful service. Family Life Fellowship and all those who helped in the gathering following the service.
Ron’s life was a beautiful journey filled with so many amazing memories and stories that we will cherish forever. Towards the end of his illness Ron would always say and I think he would want everyone to live life with these words…“one day at a time”.
