Ronald L. Collison
Born to Eternal Life March 9, 2022, at the age of 79. Lovingly survived by his wife of 53 years, Cherie (nee Clermont). Loving father of Matt (Guadalupe) Collison and Alissa Collison. Beloved grandpa of Jacob, Madison, Isabella, Ava, Lauren, Luke, and Emma. Remembered by other relatives and friends.
Born to the world on April 7, 1942, Ronald Lewis Collison was the embodiment of a man filled with the vitality, curiosity, and overwhelming enthusiasm of life. His deep appreciation for life was evident from an early age. Inquisitive, sensitive, intelligent and adventurous are but a few words that can be used to describe his nature.
As much as he enjoyed living he loved sharing his experiences, in story, with those that he most cherished. Whether it was building a go-cart, at age ten in his parents basement, which topped out at 40 mph (tested on freeway by him at said age), explaining the experience of flying an airplane for the first time, at night, over Lake Michigan, or getting stuck in a field with good friend after taking his uncle's car for a joyride, his stories never failed to amaze and to entertain. You always felt as if you were there with him, riding alongside.
Ron graduated from Wauwatosa East in the year 1960 before going on to graduate with two engineering degrees, mechanical and electrical, from the University of Wisconsin Madison. After graduation, with his loving wife, Sharon, Ron moved to California to work at North American Rockwell. Returning to Wisconsin, Ron took a position at the Falk Corporation where would Inevitably end his career in engineering.
Ron was the very definition of a free spirit. As an entrepreneur, Ron owned and operated two dry cleaners, and promoted professional boxing matches while managing a world ranked Super-Middleweight contender. As a business owner, Ron enabled himself the flexibility to pursue his passions as well. At the top of those passions was computer programming, specifically, creating artificial intelligence.True to his spirit, Ron also attained his pilot's license and real estate brokers license.
The engineer in Ron spilled over to many areas in his life, one of those was his love for sports cars. From his Jaguar, in college, to his Porsche and finally Corvette, cars always fascinated him and He loved to tinker with them as well.
Ronald Lewis Collison loved life.
But most of all he loved his family and friends.
He is survived by his 7 grandchildren, whom he loved dearly: Madison, Ava, Lauren, Emma, Jacob, Isabella, and Luke. His two children, Matthew and Alissa, who he loved and guided with all of his heart.
And his everything, the love of his life, his wife Sharon.
He will be forever missed. May he Rest In Peace.
