Ronald Conrad Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Young Family Funeral Home - Wolcottville on Jan. 10, 2026.
Ronald Jay Conrad, 67, of Wolcottville, Indiana, passed away Friday, January 9, 2026, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
Born March 28, 1958, in Three Rivers, Michigan, Ron was the son of Dale Eugene Conrad and Patricia J. (Barnett) Goff, both of whom preceded him in death.
From an early age, Ron carried a deep appreciation for machines, motion, and the satisfaction of building something with his own hands-a passion that stayed with him throughout his life.
Ron retired from Coachmen in Middlebury, where his strong work ethic and mechanical know-how served him well. Outside of work, he lived life in motion. He loved the open road on his Harley, the thrill of snowmobiling, quiet mornings spent hunting, and long hours in the garage bringing old cars back to life. One of his proudest accomplishments was building a T-Bucket from the ground up-a true reflection of his ingenuity, patience, and love of tinkering. If something had an engine, Ron was never far from it.
Above all, Ron cherished his family. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jasmine and Anthony Slabaugh of Bourbon; his beloved grandchildren, Justin Allen Slabaugh, Amanda Beth Slabaugh, and Jordan Wayne Slabaugh, who brought him great joy and pride; his devoted partner and "other half," Kathy Paulus of Wolcottville; and his brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Kathy Conrad of Goshen.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville.
Cremation will follow. In keeping with Ron's wishes, his final journey-his last ride on his Harley-will take place at a later date.
Memories and condolences may be shared, and a video viewed after Wednesday, at www.youngfamilyfuneralhome.com
