Ronald B. Cooledge "Ron" 75 of Marshfield, formerly of Winthrop, passed unexpectedly on September 19, 2025. The son of the late Wallace H Cooledge and R. Eilene Cooledge (Bauer) of Winthrop. The brother of Wallace H. "Wally" Cooledge Jr and the late Theodore E "Ted" Cooledge. He graduated from Winthrop High School and then later from Wentworth as a computer engineer. He was the beloved and devoted husband of Suzanne Cooledge (Duffy). He was the loving and devoted father of Lea-Ann McGonagle and husband Patrick McGonagle, James Cooledge and his wife Christine Cooledge, and Jennifer Turner (Cooledge) and her husband Shawn Turner. He was the cherished Grandfather/Papa to Tim, Seamus, Declan, Cody, Caylin, Grace and James. He was also the devoted dog grampy to Finn and Cole. He was also the supportive and loving Uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Ron was above all a devoted family man. He was quick with a joke and lighthearted in nature. His love and commitment to his family could be witnessed when finding him at sports events/fields his grandchildren were participating in, whether it be Rugby, football, soccer and dance recitals. He was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren and would share stories with whoever would listen. He was a devoted husband and enjoyed his adventures with his wife, Sue. They shared and encouraged each other in life and he was a role model and exemplified his role as husband. He enjoyed golfing, especially with his Tuesday golf buddies. He also loved golfing with his family and grandchildren. He was always extremely generous, often supporting his grandchildren's sports teams, local waitress's/food establishments and numerous charity organizations. His other pride and joy was his job as facilities manager at St. Christine's Parish. He did the role of many people and made it look easy. His spirituality and commitment was nothing short of amazing! If he wasn't supporting and spending time with his family, he was at the church. One could always find him and he always made himself available. His loss is tremendous, and he will be greatly missed.

A wake will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:0O p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. A funeral mass with be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Christine Parish Church, 1295 Main Street in Marshfield.
