Ronald Cox Obituary

Mr. Cox passed away Monday, July 22, 2024 at his home. He was born February 22, 1945, in Ada to Raymond Lee and Beulah Mae Dorsey Cox.
Ron was raised in Madill Oklahoma, then attended college and played football at ECU in Ada. He met his wife of over 50 years at ECU. On June 10, 1968, he married Elizabeth Sue King in Tishomingo, OK. She preceded him in death October 21, 2021. He raised his family in Ada and was active in his church. Ron raised horses for many years and sold Life Insurance until recently. He was very active with family, ECU football, golf, and traveling with his wife Liz.
Survivors include his four children, Stacy Gray and husband, Robert of Allen, OK, Brook Cox of Dallas, TX, Coty Cox of Denver, CO, and Kamron Cox of Broken Arrow, OK; one brother, Lowell Cox of China Springs, TX; one sister, Carolyn Fox and husband, Harvey of VA; and three grandchildren, Dalton Jones of Broken Arrow, OK, Quaid Johnson of Ada, and Karsyn Johnson of Ada.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Liz.

My Uncle Ronnie was 12 years old when I was born. I have many fond memories of him spent at my grandmother and granddaddy´s home in Madill. One of my fondest memories was being in his and Aunt Liz´s wedding. he was always very loving towards me and my brothers and sisters. I was fortunate to spend time with him and Ada recently and we enjoyed talking about our family . My family will keep his memory alive as we share stories of him. Always loved and never forgotten.

My Uncle was 12 years old when I was born so we were very close growing up. Many fond memories of him come to mind such as being in his wedding when he married Aunt Liz. He was always very loving toward me and never forgot my birthday. He and I shared Febuary birthdays in our family. I was fortunate to spend time with him recently and we shared long ago memories together. He will be missed but remembered always.
