Ronald E. Dalton, 87, of Reynoldsburg, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025. He was born on January 3, 1938, in Steubenville, Ohio, to the late Lewis Delbert Dalton and Eva Charlotte Hill. Eddie was raised in Bloomingdale, OH and was a 1956 graduate of Wayne High School.
A proud veteran, Ron honorably served his country for 20 years in the U.S. Army, where he was a distinguished helicopter mechanic, completing two tours in Vietnam. His passion for aviation continued after his military service, as he dedicated many years to working on aircraft for Helicopter Mint-Men in Columbus. He was a devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church of Reynoldsburg.
Ron was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by his wife, Linda (McCrea Walker) Dalton; his children, Ronald Dalton, Jr., Gary (Denny) Dalton, and Patricia (Tammy) Dalton-Turos; and his stepchildren, Pamela Gibson and Kelley Fulton. He was a cherished grandfather and great-grandfather, leaving behind a legacy of love and wisdom. He is also survived by his sister Bonnie Wentworth, his brothers Delbert Dalton and Leroy (Sharon) Dalton, and many extended family members and dear friends.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife of 21 years, Mary Eddy Dalton; his son Bruce; and his stepson Randall Walker.
A graveside service will be held on Friday at 1pm at Island Creek Cemetery, Toronto, Ohio.
