Ron was born December 11, 1946 to Andrew and Marian DeHeer in Salt Lake City, Utah. In their home he was loved and adored by them.
He attended and graduated from Highland High School, then spent a few years at the University of Utah. He stayed a loyal fan of both schools. Go Utes!
In 1965 he enlisted in the Army Reserve for 6 years. He soon learned that summer camp was NOT a vacation! He continued to serve and fulfill his responsibilities honorably.
After “playing the field” he met his wife in 1968, they dated for two years. They were then married on September 26, 1970 and enjoyed 52 years together. They enjoyed watching their 3 children grow.
He worked in multiple positions earning his way up from lower level positions to upper management at Buehner pre-cast and marble. He spent his entire career of over 40 years in the pre-cast and marble industry.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Marian DeHeer; in-laws Arie and Aartje Williamson; and granddaughter Maebelle DeHeer.
Survived by his wife Yvonne (poopsie); son Ron B. (Kiersten) DeHeer; and daughters Alanna (Brad) Steele, Natalee (Danny) Van Leeuwen; 10 grandchildren – Brie Steele (T bug), Caleb Steele, Jonah Steele, Clay DeHeer, Kitty DeHeer, Queenie DeHeer, Andrew Van Leeuwen, Sophie Van Leeuwen, Zachery Van Leeuwen, Katelynn Van Leeuwen.
Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 8834 S. Duck Ridge Way, West Jordan, Utah 84081. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 PM. Funeral services on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM with a viewing from 10-10:45 AM before the service. Interment following services at Memorial Mountain View located at 3115 Bengal Blvd, Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84121.
