Ronald Lee DeJohn, age 70, of Gibsonia, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 6, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on May 26, 1955 in
Pittsburgh, PA, the son of the late Gilbert and Audrey Will DeJohn.
Ron lived a life marked by kindness, hard work, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. He built a long and successful career as a Manufacturing Engineer, retiring from L3 Communications, where he was respected for his dedication, problem-solving mind, and steady professionalism. His work reflected the same care and integrity he brought to every part of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Judi, his steadfast partner through every season of life. Ron was a proud father to his two children, Brian DeJohn (married to Emily) and Jamie Kozora (married to Russ Kozora). His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren: Kylie (22), Will (20), Madelyn (15), and Hannah (13) DeJohn, and Gavin (18) and Mason (14) Kozora. Each one brought him immense pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent cheering them on, sharing stories, and watching them grow. He is also survived by his brother, Mark DeJohn (married to Karen), and was deeply loved by his many, many nieces and nephews.
Ron was a lifelong Pittsburgh sports fan, loyal through every victory and heartbreak. He found great joy in the outdoors-whether it was spending a quiet day fishing, or visiting the local petting zoo, where he loved feeding the animals and sharing those simple, joyful moments with his family.
His passion for the game of golf was unmatched. A proud member of Pheasant Ridge Golf Course, Ron found joy, peace, and friendship on those fairways. Whether he was perfecting his swing, enjoying a round with friends, or watching tournaments on TV, the game brought him simple, genuine happiness.
Above all, Ron will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and unwavering love for his family. His stories, laughter, and the gentle way he made everyone feel welcome will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
His absence leaves a tremendous void, but his memory will forever remain a source of strength, love, and inspiration.
