Ronald Gene "Ron" Dobsch was born November 26, 1960 in Washington, MO to Orville and Glenda (nee' Angell) Dobsch. He passed away at his home in Union, Mo on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the age of 65 years.

Ron grew up in Union, MO and completed his education at Union High School. He was united in marriage to Teresa Jones on December 18, 1981 in Union. Ron was blessed with five children.

Ron enjoyed his career as an automotive mechanic. He worked for many years as a mechanic at Wrights Auto Salvage and later worked at Citation Classic Cars. He was also employed by the Franklin County Highway Department for several years and Electro-Core. Ron finished his career at D&M Automotive.

When he wasn't working to provide for his family, Ron enjoyed competing in demolition derbies, hunting and fishing, and working on cars. He cherished most of all the time he spent with his family and close friends. He enjoyed helping others and caring for his hydrangea, hibiscus, tomato and pepper plants and all of his fun little surprise plants like the sunflowers and corncobs that would randomly sprout up from feeding the birds and squirrels. Ron was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Union.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Orville Dobsch, and one sister, Diane Krimmel.

He is survived by five children: Jeremy Bay and wife Kim of Central Lake, MI, Beth Anderson and husband Scott of Union, Ronnie Dobsch and wife Karen of St. Clair, Joey Dobsch and wife Sarah of Washington, and Leona Dobsch and significant other Adam Buchanan of Union; his mother, Glenda Dobsch (nee' Angell) of Union; 17 grandchildren: Austin, Andrew, and Autumn Bay, Taylor Stroup (fiancé Devin Richardson), Brooklynne and Jewelle Anderson, Caleb and Abigail Gunn, Landon Bizzle, Daniel Taylor, Annelise Knight, Allison, Dylan, Hayden, and Jackson Dobsch, Tyson Dobsch-Brueggemann, and Ethan Dobsch; three great-grandchildren: Reese, Demiri, and Jovanni Richardson; two sisters: Denise Littrell and husband Dwight and Tanya Schatzler and husband Keith, both of Union; his former spouse, Teresa Dobsch (nee' Jones) of Union; along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Oltmann Funeral Home in Union, MO with Rev. Peter Blake officiating. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Union.

Visitation for 65-year-old Ron Dobsch will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Oltmann Funeral Home in Union, MO.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
