Kevin Vernell Kasmann was born September 11, 1958 in Washington, MO to Vernell and Betty (nee' Moman) Kasmann. Surrounded by the love of his family, Kevin passed away at his home in Union, MO on Thursday, January 8 2026 at the age of 67 years.
Kevin grew up in Union, MO and graduated from Union High School in 1977. He was united in marriage to Linda Brautigam on March 6, 1976 at St. Mary of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Moselle. The couple made their home in Union and their marriage was blessed with two children.
After completing his education, Kevin began his career at SKF Foundry. After the foundry closed, he worked at Integram Seating as a production supervisor. Kevin completed his career as a supervisor at Pharma Tech Industries. He retired in 2017 when his health began to decline due to the onset of Alzheimer's Disease. When he wasn't working, Kevin enjoyed deer hunting, completing woodworking projects, and spending time with his family. He was a longtime member of Zion United Church of Christ in Union, MO. Kevin will be deeply missed by his loving family members and dear friends.
The Kasmann family would like to express their sincere appreciation and deepest gratitude to the dedicated healthcare professionals that assisted them through Kevin's journey with Alzheimer's Disease. They would also like to thank the healthcare providers with Mercy Hospice for their kindness, compassionate care, and unwavering support.
Kevin was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Kasmann; his parents, Vernell and Betty (nee' Moman) Kasmann; parents-in-law, Joseph and Marie (nee' Schroeder) Brautigam; and two brothers-in-law, Leonard Brautigam and Clifford Brautigam and sister-in-law, Betty Brautigam.
He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 50 years, Linda Kasmann (nee' Brautigam) of Union; one son, Nathan Kasmann and wife Niky of Union; four grandchildren: Jarek Kasmann, Mason Sachse (Caroline), Austin Kasmann, and Charlee Kasmann; one sister, Sonya Kasmann of Union; one brother, John Kasmann and wife Cindy of St. Clair; brother-in-law, Jerome Brautigam (Doris) of Union; five sisters-in-law: Joann Smith (Larry), Rosemary Brautigam, Lorraine Thompson (Gary), Ann Brautigam, and Shirley Brautigam, all of Union; along with nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Oltmann Funeral Home in Union, MO with Rev. Nicholas Knoblauch officiating. Burial followed in Zion U.C.C. Cemetery in Union.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mercy Health Foundation-Washington Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association.
