Ronald G Felter

Ronald "Ron" G. Felter, 81, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2025, surrounded by his family after a brief illness.
Born on March 15, 1944, to Gordon and Helen Felter, Ron was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Lois (Pisani); his children Steve (Theresa), Eric (Amy) Felter, and Jill (Jim) Kabat; and his beloved grandchildren Christopher "CJ" (Jacqueline), Nick (Jess), Jonnie (Liz), Austin (Nicole), Adriana (Nicolas), and Sophia. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Stevie and Maddie. Ron is also survived by sisters-in-law Anita Pisani, Virginia Pisani, niece, nephews and several cousins.
Ron was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and was honored to have served aboard the USS Shangri-La aircraft carrier. Throughout his life he demonstrated a strong work ethic. In his career as a glazier he found great fulfillment in sharing his knowledge by mentoring and guiding young glaziers entering the field. His work was notably showcased with his contribution in the construction of the Lake Placid 1980 Olympic Ski Jumping Complex (90-meter jump).
He found joy in golf, bowling, hunting, and fishing-especially stream fishing for trout in the Delaware River. A dedicated fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants, Ron also enjoyed being a past member of the Corvette Club. He loved the warmth of the sun, planting the flowers, making sure the bird feeder was full and maintaining his vegetable garden.
Ron had a deep appreciation for oldies music, with a special fondness for the song "Vehicle" by The Ides of March, and he adored his dog, Bianca.
As per Ron's wishes, no formal services will be held. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
